How many of you attended this "Emergency Meeting" ? Two members from each LBC were flown out to Chicago to
hear about changes to the governance of USA Boxing. . Joe Souza and I flew to Chicago to hear some bullshit about
what HAD to be done. The picked us up at the airport, went to a hotel a few blocks away for a few hours then we were
back in San Antonio before the day was over. They basically forced us to vote YES to these new changes. Why do I
say forced? Here is what was said:

We have the following options:
We can reject the USOC governance mandate and we will be decertified as the
Amateur Boxing NGB
We can accept this new governance structure and the USOC will begin to fun the
organization
If we choose not to accept the governance structure we can fight decertification in
court. However, we will be out of money as an organization by September and our
organization will CEASE TO EXIST
