Cresencio loses coin toss in
finals!
Oxnard, Calif. - Oct. 9, 2006

Cresencio Ramos and Ray Ximenez both lost close bouts in the finals of this years PAL Nationals in
Oxnard, Calif. Cresencio had a good week  winning a 2-1 decision over Ruben Ozuna (Wauchula, Fla) and
a RSCO-2 win over Jesus Gomez (Glendale, Calif.). His finals matchup was against Manuel Robles
(Paramont, Calif.). It could not have been any closer as Robles scored the 4-1 judges poll decision over
Ramos. Going into the 3rd and final round Ramos held a 2-0 points lead (equivalent to being up two
touchdowns with 2 minutes to go in the 4th Qtr.) over Robles so the game plan was simple; MOVE. Ramos
decided to exchange punches with Robles in the final seconds of the round allowing Robles to tie up to
score at 2-2.  After a review of the scores the bout had a 2nd tie in the total punch count, 5-5. The third and
final deciding factor in such cases is to ask each judges opinion on who they think won the bout. After this
review Robles was given a  4-1 decision. Ray Ximenez also enjoyed a good week winning a 14-9 decision
over Antonio Magruder (Suitland, Md).& a 19-15 dec.over Erik Ruiz (Oxnard, Calif). to advance into the
finals in the 101 lbs/13-14 division. Ximenez ended up losing a close 3-1 decision over the popular
Christian Navarro (Los Angeles, Calif) to claim the silver medal along with Cresencio Ramos.
Celina Salazar was the only other medalist (bronze) as she dropped at 20-4 decision to defending National
Champion Ronica Jefferies (Brooklyn, NY.). Jefferies is fresh off silver medal finish at this years Pan
American Games in Argentina. Jefferies advanced to the finals with the win over Salazar and claimed a
14-8 win over the 4 time National Champion and current #1 ranked female in the nation, Jennifer Han (El
Paso, Tx.)

Hector Ramos had a disappointing showing losing a tie-breaker (1-1) to Aaron Besinger (Colorado
Springs, Co.). Jairo Martinez late rally came up short losing a 19-12 decision to  Edwin Soto-Badillo (New
Haven, Conn.). Christian Santibanes had a rough night vs three time national champion(2 Ringisde World
Championships & Silver Gloves) Marshall Sanchez (Houston, Tx.) losing a 4-1 decision.

Team USA struggles at World
Cup!
Oct. 22, 2006

Hector Ramos along with most members of Team USA struggled vs the top boxers in the world. Team
USA lost 7 out of 9 bouts vs Azerbaijan on October 16,  8 out of 8 bouts vs Cuba on Oct. 17  and 5 out of
8 bouts vs Kazakhstan on Oct. 20. Cuba walked away with the tournaments victory along with 40,000 in
cash. Team USA brought home 10,000.

Three of those loses was by Hector.

It's difficult enough boxing against the top boxers in the world in your weight class - try fighting the best
boxers in the world 15 pounds over your natural weight come fight time! That's exactly what Hector had to
do vs, Azerbaijan, Cuba and Pakistan. In order to prevent a disqualification to Team USA's lightweight
(Danny Garcia, 132) who was overweight by 4 pounds Hector was asked to move up a weight class to
152. Hector accepted the challenge but had to come back home without a win. Danny Garcia was KO'd
after his first bout vs Azerbaijan and was not allowed to compete vs Cuba & Kazakhstan.

Hector lost a decision to 2000 & 2004 Olympian, Ruslan Khairov - welterweight (152lbs), Cuba's
welterweight Olympian - Deas Noeiuis & Kazakhstan's top boxer, Zhenis Nurgozhin.

Next up for the Hector will be a dual meet vs Ukraine here in the United States --- at 141 !

Ramos wins LBC Championship!
Nov.19, 2006 - San Antonio, Tx

Hector Ramos scored a TKO-2 win and a unanimous decision victory this past weekend at the South
Texas LBC tournament. With the victory Ramos advanced to the State Tournament in March 2007.

Hector Ramos vs Cory Smith, Anne Wolfe Gym - Austin, Tx.. Hector used his superior speed and
power punching to discourage the valiant attack of Smith. Anne Wolfe was forced to call a halt to the bout
in the 2nd round after a standing 8 count.

Hector Ramos vs Jesse Saldivar, Brownsville, Tx. Saldivar put up a good effort in trying to upset the
#1 rank boxer in the nation. Saldivar's attack made Hector step it up a notch and dominate the fight over 4
rounds. In the end Ramos would claim the 4 round unanimous decision.

Billy Polson vs Obioha Nwgawh, Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Tx. Polson faded late in the fight and
allowed Nwgawh to comeback and score the victory.

serves as a fundraiser for the Harvey Restoration Ministries, a Christian-based residential recovery
program for men battling drug addictions. Over the years, the Ministries have become a beacon of
hope in a community filled with poverty, violence, drugs, and gangs. Today, they reach out to all
segments of the population with a special emphasis on children and teens.  The Harvey Boxing Club
trains at-risk, underprivileged boys and girls ages 8 to 18 to be champions in the ring and in life. At
the Harvey Boxing Club, at-risk youth learn the sport of boxing while they develop discipline, self-
motivation and confidence. The Harvey Boxing Club hosted the USA vs. Dominican Republic Dual in

Ramos drops decision vs Ukraine!
Dec. 4, 2006 - Harvey, ILL.

Hector Ramos dropped a 21-13 decision to Ukraine over the weekend. After viewing the fight it seemed much
closer than what the scored indicated.

FOUR UNITED STATES BOXERS WIN BOUTS AT THE USA VS. UKRAINE DUAL

(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) - For the fifth straight year, boxing and charity were combined into one
outstanding event at the annual Restoration Ministries Fight Night in Harvey, Ill. Elite boxers from the United States
and Ukraine faced off in nine Olympic-style boxing matches in the first USA vs. Ukraine Dual since 2003.

The international dual event provided the athletes with critical international experience as the 2008 Olympic Games
in Beijing grow closer. The light flyweight division opened competition with a battle between 2005 Golden Gloves
champion Roberto Ceron (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Georgy Chygaev of Ukraine. Chygaev rushed at Ceron from the
opening bell and moved out to the early lead, taking a 9-5 advantage after one round. Chygaev doubled his lead
at the end of two rounds, moving out to a 16-8 lead at the midway point of the bout. Despite Ceron’s attempts, he
could not overcome the deficit and dropped a 40-21 final decision.

Bantamweight David Clark (San Diego, Calif.) climbed through the ropes for the second straight year at the Harvey
Boxing Club, hoping to record his first international victory. Clark took on 2004 Olympian Maksym Tretyak of
Ukraine in the second contested bout of the evening. Once again, the Ukrainian boxer came flying out of the gates,
moving out to the early lead. Clark attempted to return fire and began to come back from his early deficit. Tretyak
took a 12-7 lead after two rounds but Clark continued to throw heavy blows in the third round to pull within three
points as the final round began. Clark pressed the action, landing heavy shots on the ropes but fell just short,
dropping a 23-21 decision to Tretyak.

In featherweight action, Johnny Narvaez (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) boxed in his first international bout, taking on Dmytro
Bulenkov of Ukraine in the third bout of the evening. Narvaez grabbed the early momentum in the bout, taking a
three-point lead after one round. Bulenkov came storming back in the second stanza, taking a six-point advantage
at the midway point.  The Ukrainian continued to build on his advantage over the final four minutes to win a 31-16
final decision.

Lightweight Luis Ramos (Santa Ana, Calif.) stepped through the ropes looking to change the momentum and he
accomplished his goal in his bout with Ivan Redkach of Ukraine.  Ramos grabbed the early lead and withstood a full
bout of holding and dirty boxing from the visiting Redkach. Yet he refused to lose his cool or let go of his lead.
Ramos held a two-point lead after each of the first two rounds before moving out to a five-point advantage at the
end of three. A late punch after the bell by Redkach only fueled Ramos’ fire as he held onto his lead in the final
round to win a 29-25 decision and give the United States team its first victory.

Light welterweight Hector Ramos (San Antonio, Texas) stepped into the ring to take on Mykola Semenyaha
of Ukraine in the fifth bout of the evening. Semenyaha pitched a shut out in the first round, taking a 4-0 lead
after one round but Ramos chipped away at the lead in the second. He pulled to within one point after two
rounds but fell behind five points to the visiting boxer at the end of the third. The trend continued in the final
round with Semenyaha winning a 21-13 decision.
